A Project for Promoting Understanding of International Development Cooperation,
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)
Overview
This project offers opportunities for undergraduate students of Kyung Hee University to experience the field of international development cooperation through related courses or field trips.
In the first semester, the course 'Understanding International Development Cooperation' promotes better understanding of the field and allows students to recognize the need for, and importance of, such projects, including ODA. In the second semester, the course 'International Development Cooperation and Civic Society' focuses on the characteristics of NGOs, which have arisen as major players in international development, to seek a paradigm for civic participation, and offers an opportunity for students to explore career opportunities in the field. During the summer vacation, selected students who have excelled in the course are invited on a field trip to development NGOs and participate in volunteer activities at related institutions.
