CIDEC's scope of project: Performance management of international development cooperation projects in Indonesia and cambodia

Indonesia
Indonesia has recently experienced a high annual growth rate of over 6%, but it still receives a high percentage of aid in international development and there are many social problems that need to be solved, such as a high rate of youth unemployment (20%).
The three projects currently underway in Indonesia (training on film creation, establishment of a social enterprise and youth job training) and one project that has been completed (technical training) all share a commonality in terms of vocational training. These projects for results management conducted by CIDEC developed a results management framework tool based on the expertise in the field to improve the efficacy of the projects and the organization's capabilities to ultimately contribute to a better quality of life for residents.
To that end, CIDEC established performance indicators through a pre-survey with experts on social corporations, followed by local surveys, meetings with project staff members on the ground and workshops. In each stage of the process, mid-term review and post-project evaluation, literature review, local survey in-depth interviews, questionnaires and joint monitoring sessions have been conducted to ensure systematic and effective performance management.
Cambodia
Approximately 1 million people in Cambodia are aged 60 or over. Over the next several decades, the share of the elderly is expected to increase four-fold, but there are insufficient policies to meet the needs and demands of the old.
At present, projects to support self-help groups of the elderly in Cambodia and the establishment of an association are underway to eradicate poverty among the elderly and to improve their health. CIDEC's result management is based on result management tools which draw on the expertise of international development performance management to improve the efficacy of the projects, thereby reducing the number of isolated elderly in Cambodia while increasing their financial stability.
To that end, CIDEC has established performance indicators through a pre-survey with experts on social corporations, followed by local surveys, meetings with project staff members on the ground and workshops. In each stage of the process, mid-term review and post-project evaluation, literature review, local survey in-depth interviews, questionnaires and joint monitoring sessions have been conducted to ensure systematic and effective performance management.
